Keith Wightman Scholarship

To enable and encourage second and third year UCL students who show excellence in the sport of golf to pursue their interest. One award will be offered for the 2023/24 session.

Value: One award of £1,750 (per year for two years)
Available to: Current second and third year students
Selection criteria: Academic merit
Eligible fee status: UK, EU, Overseas
Eligible programmes: All undergraduate
Additional eligibility criteria: Show excellence in golf or other sports
Deadline: Monday 15 January 2024

Eligibility

Applicants should:

  • have successfully completed either the first or the second year of their undergraduate degree studies in any subject at UCL;
  • show an excellence in golf or other sports.

Value, benefits, and duration

The scholarship is worth £1,750 per year for two years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.


Selection

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic and golfing excellence (preference will be given to students with a handicap of five or less, and/or category 1 golfers) and financial need.

If there are no qualified candidates meeting this criteria in any given year, the scholarship may be awarded to candidates who have shown excellence in their chosen sport.

Results

Successful candidates will be informed by the end of January 2024.
