Information for Prospective Students

Home undergraduate students

Student Loans

As an undergraduate Home student your main source of funding comes from Student Finance in the form of loans that cover your tuition fees and living costs. You will need to apply for these loans every year of your study.

The Student Room's SFE Student Finance Zone is a valuable resource of information on Student Finance's loans and grants. It also includes a forum where students can have questions answered by Student Finance experts.

NHS Bursaries

Eligible health students on certain programmes may also be eligible for a bursary from the NHS. To find out more information about eligibility, contact NHS Student Bursaries.

The UCL Undergraduate Bursary

The UCL Undergraduate Bursary is for Home and EU undergraduate students commencing study from 2012 onwards.

Alternative Sources of Funding

You may also want to search external sites for funding and financial guidance such as The Scholarship Hub (registration required).

UCL Financial Assistance Fund

The Financial Assistance Fund (FAF) provides discretionary financial assistance for students who find themselves in financial difficulty.  You will need to submit an application form direct to UCL and provide documentation to support your application.  You must be a current student (fully enrolled) at UCL before you can apply to the FAF.  For further details and an application form, check our FAF webpage.

Armed Forces Bereavement Scholarship Scheme
