Student Support and Wellbeing provides information, advice and support services for all our students to help you get the most out of your studies and perform at your best.

The Student Support and Wellbeing department offers a wide range of information, guidance and advice for UCL students of all levels. From confidential appointments to wellbeing events, the team is here to support you at every stage of your Student Life Cycle at university. You can find us…

In the Student Centre

  • Student Enquiries Centre: meet our friendly advisers to ask any questions relating to university life on Floor 1 of the Student Centre.

  • Disability support: we offer specialist support for students with disabilities, such as reasonable adjustment to your assessments, funding information, screenings, Specialist Mentors and Specialist Study Skills Tutors.

  • Mental health support: our empathetic advisers will support you through any mental health condition or wellbeing difficulty that is impacting your ability to study.

  • Counselling services: our professionally accredited counsellors offer support for mental and emotional concerns through a range of psychiatric therapies to suit your needs.

  • Faith support: whatever your religion, faith or worldview, you can receive support from our Interfaith and Chaplaincy team for any religious concerns.

On campus

  • Study Abroad: the team offers support for UCL students studying abroad, and the International Student Support team helps international students settle into UCL and life in the UK

  • Student Advisers: based in each department and UCL East, our advisers provide guidance on your wellbeing and transitioning to university life, hosting regular events in your faculty.

  • Student Residence Advisers: the team offers pastoral support in UCL Halls of Residence and host regular wellbeing activities in halls.

  • Events and activities: join our termly wellbeing campaigns to gain new skills, meet new people and look after your mental health at university

Online

  • askUCL: log an enquiry about any question you have about life at UCL on our self-help centre and student enquiry system to access information, support services and FAQs.

  • Student Support and Wellbeing Phone Line: call +44 (0) 20 3108 8836 for any queries about university life. This includes mental health, disability, counselling, registry services and UCL East services.

  • UCL 24/7 Student Support Line: call +44 (0) 808 238 0077 for in-the-moment support about any concerns or anxieties you may have. Our advisers reflect the diverse range of student backgrounds at UCL, and you can request a male adviser, female adviser, BAME adviser or an adviser trained in LGBTQ+ related issues.
