We are proud to offer our students a unique Master's environment, providing you with the opportunity to be at the forefront of mathematical knowledge and development. Situated in picturesque Bloomsbury, with easy access to all of London as well as extensive UCL facilities, our students have the opportunity to interact widely with the UCL community as well as national and, in some cases, international contacts while working on modules and projects.
At UCL Mathematics you will develop strong mathematical and finance related skills, learn to manipulate and/or compute to solve real problems logically and analytically and become accomplished at presenting your work to an audience. These skills will give you an invaluable competitive edge when beginning your chosen career. Participation in summer research projects and liaison with staff provide our students with important opportunities to work independently as well as network and interact with future employers in industry, finance and government for instance.
Our alumni are pursuing successful careers in academia or in professional occupations such as IT, finance and industry. Our graduates have found employment in a wide variety of organisations such as Hillier-Parker, IBM, Swissbank, Commerzbank Global Equities, British Gas, Harrow Public School, Building Research Establishment and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather-Forecasting.
