Drug Discovery is a field in which we excel here at the School of Pharmacy. The MSc programmes aim to introduce students to all the stages of early phase drug discovery from chemical biology approaches to new target identification and validation through to the nomination of quality clinical drug candidates to treat human disease of high unmet medical need (e.g. cancer, infection, neurodegenerative disease).

Students will gain hands-on experience of molecular modelling and computer-based drug design, and analytical and synthetic techniques and be exposed to modern platforms for drug discovery. The MSc in Pharma Management will also cover sessions for those wishing to develop their business skills further. Students will be given a thorough scientific education that will enable them to pursue careers in a variety of fields.
