Energy transition is at a critical juncture, with international deep decarbonisation targets that cover electricity, transport, and heat. To cut emissions and combat climate crisis we need more sustainable, smarter energy systems around the world.

At the UCL Energy Institute, our aim is to help build a sustainable energy systems globally. In our research we employ multidisciplinary approaches spanning science, engineering and the social sciences to develops tools, models and methods to revolutionise the way energy is generated, supplied and consumed. From applied data analytics to environmental economics, social perspective to smart systems, we equip graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to lead this transformation in energy industry, academia or policy.
