The UCL Ear Institute is the leading multidisciplinary centre for hearing research in Europe, and provides a unique environment for graduate teaching and research training in hearing sciences and related clinical subjects. We collaborate with colleagues from across UCL to deliver research-intensive programmes focused on understanding hearing and optimising treatments for hearing disorders. Our programmes draw on clinical expertise from the associated Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, which houses the largest clinical audiology unit in the UK, and we have close links with leading manufacturers and suppliers of audiological devices and services.
Our aim is to develop and enhance our students' careers in audiology, audiological science, ENT and audiovestibular medicine, or research relevant to development of novel treatments for sensory disorders. Graduates are employed as audiologists, trainee and consultant medics, clinical scientists and research scientists.
