All applicants must hold an approved dental qualification and have a minimum of one year of clinical experience post-qualification.

About this degree
The programme is designed for dental practitioners who wish to remain at the cutting edge of contemporary dentistry and to be able to meet and deliver with confidence the restorative needs of patients with high aesthetic expectations.
Students undertake modules to the value of 60 credits.
The programme consists of two core modules worth 30 credits each.
Upon successful completion of 60 credits, you will be awarded a PG Cert in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry.

Teaching and learning
The programme is delivered through a combination of 50% lectures, interactive seminars and treatment planning, and 50% skills laboratory and clinical hands-on training.
There are two MCQ written exams, an essay and a viva voce oral exam.
This is a part-time programme with 24 teaching days. Students can opt to complete the teaching as one day a week usually Thursdays, spread out between October and August or through block teaching of 2-3 blocks spread across the year.
Students wishing to undertake teaching one day per week should select the part time option. Those wishing to take the teaching in blocks should select the mixed mode option. Overseas students should select the mixed mode option.
Additional costs
Textbook and study materials are provided for free, and all equipment and materials for the hands on exercises are available on site to be used during the exercises free of costs.
Delegates are advised to get access to SLR camera and face bow with semi-adjustable articulator so that they can develop the patient case presentation required for the viva exam at the end.
