The department offers one of the most comprehensive teaching and research programmes in Jewish studies in Europe and has strong links with academic and research centres throughout the world. In recent years the department has been awarded a number of major grants from the AHRC, the British Academy, the Leverhulme Trust and the Wellcome Trust. Our students have gone on to very diverse employment such as financial journalism, Jewish educational charities, accounting, law, PR consultancy, publishing and primary/secondary education.
