Social Determinants of Global Health
The general aim of the module is to introduce the concepts and ideas underlying the social determinants of health in a global context, to describe the social gradient in health in populations in high, middle and low income countries, to understand the relationships between gender, social inequalities and health inequalities, to outline the reasons why inequalities in health exist in different countries and to analyse the policy implications of SDGH evidence.
