We’re delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health PhD student, Dr Hadi Waheed, who has received multiple prestigious awards in recognition of his research and presentation excellence.
At the recent Faculty of Population Health Sciences Symposium, Hadi received three major awards:
- Overall Best Poster Presentation
- Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition: First runner-up and Finalist
- 3MT People’s Choice Award
Building on this success, Hadi’s research poster was selected as one of only seven finalists in the highly competitive UCL Doctoral School Best Poster Competition 2026. Finalists were invited to present their work orally to a panel of senior academic judges representing disciplines from across the university.
Following this rigorous assessment process, Hadi was awarded First Prize for Best Poster Presentation across the entire UCL Doctoral School, an outstanding achievement that places his work among the very best doctoral research presentations at UCL.
These awards reflect Hadi’s dedication, scientific excellence, and commitment to impactful research, while also showcasing the strength of doctoral research within UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health.
