Announcement of results: EDI Funding Opportunity
11 December 2023
The results are released for an EDI Funding opportunity that includes a small grant for improving research culture.
In June applications were invited across the Faculty for a small grant to fund an EDI initiative in the area of improving research culture. This was open to staff and/or students, with funding provided by the Academic Research Office. Nine applications were received with a variety of innovative and well thought out ideas.
Four grants were awarded, for the following exciting projects:
- A Multimedia Research Showcase competition, led by Maria Krutikov at the Institute of Health Informatics
- A Training Video for early career researchers on creative outputs and promotion, led by Shoba Poduval and Aradhna Kaushal at the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care
- Wellbeing workshops for early career researchers, led by Laura Brown at the Institute for Global Health
- Guidance on holding constructive conversations on controversial topics at work, led by Julia Bailey at the Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care.
We congratulate the winners and look forward to seeing the results in July 2024, when we hope to publicise further details and photos of the initiatives.
If you are interested in applying for a grant, look out for another funding call next year. Learn more about the initiative on the intranet (for internal use only).
