UCL Centre for Pragmatic Global Health Trials
We generate real-world evidence to inform clinical and policy decisions through pragmatic trials—evaluating the effectiveness of complex interventions in everyday community and clinical settings.
About the Centre
Our work spans a wide range of global health areas, including infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health, non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, nutrition, and the prevention of violence against women. We collaborate closely with trial units and researchers to design, conduct, and analyse high-quality trials, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methods from development through to process evaluation.
Strategic Priorities
- Leadership & Innovation: Advancing methodological excellence in the design, delivery, and analysis of pragmatic global health trials.
- Collaboration & Capacity Building: Creating a hub for sharing best practices, pooling resources, and strengthening training across trials.
- Global Partnerships: Working with the UCL Institute for Clinical Trials and Methodology and international partners to share expertise and drive impact.
