Hosted by the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Healthy Weight at UCL, this seminar will feature Dr. Boyd Swinburn, Professor of Population Nutrition and Global Health at the University of Auckland.
Dr. Boyd Swinburn is a leading researcher in obesity prevention and public health.
Widely known for coining the term “obesogenic environment,” Dr. Swinburn’s work has shaped international understanding of how food systems, policy environments, and broader social conditions influence population health. In this seminar, Dr. Swinburn will be presenting his new systems theory on the obesity pandemic.
