The latest Academy of Medical Sciences report on the state of child health in the UK highlighted an appalling decline in child health and a need for urgent action.

In this Public Health Voices Webinar, Prof Katie Harron (UCL GOS Institute of Child Health) will explore how linked, longitudinal data on health, education and social care services can be used to understand the key maternal and early life factors that influence and improve child health outcomes. She will discuss opportunities and challenges in evaluating early interventions, and how we can use linked data to gain a detailed picture of how children interact with different services as they grow up. The talk will provide examples of how research using this data will help the government and service providers understand children's needs and identify those at risk of falling through the cracks.

This event will be chaired by Dr Jenny Woodman (Associate Professor in Child and Family Policy, UCL Social Research Institute).
