Rooted in Local Knowledge: A Journey in Collaborative Global Child Health
Zelee Hill is a mixed-methods researcher whose work spans critical areas of neonatal and child health, including improving the performance of community health workers, quality improvement initiatives, community-based newborn care, and early child development. Her research emphasises the importance of integrating local knowledge and cultural understanding to develop and evaluate health interventions. In her inaugural lecture, Zelee will share the journey that has shaped her career as a researcher and advocate for global child health. She will reflect on the critical role of collaboration and partnerships in driving research that bridges local contexts and global health strategies. Drawing on insights from her experience across various regions, Zelee will highlight how collaborative approaches and team science have contributed to fostering innovation and addressing complex challenges in maternal and child health care.
The lecture will run from 17:00 - 18:00, followed with a drinks reception from 18:00 - 19:00 in the Roberts Foyer . This event is open to the public, as well as UCL staff and students.
