Evaluation of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)

This study formed part of the PROMISE Programme led by Professor Russell Viner at UCL, the aims of which were to improve the assessment and evaluation of childhood obesity by supporting the NICE treatment pathway. Part of this programme of work was to evaluate the NCMP and our group led the qualitative evaluation of this. We explored parents' perceptions of childhood overweight and the reasons why many did not accept the feedback about their child's weight.
