Dark Space Project (DSP)
The Dark Space Project is an initiative lead by the IntAct database to capture interaction information that is reported in the literature but is not represented in IMEx databases.
We are contributing to this project by prioritising the curation of a list of human genes known to be related to cardiac risk, and which we extracted from this publication: Global Lipids Genetics Consortium et al., 'Discovery and refinement of loci associated with lipid levels', Nat. Genet., vol. 45, no. 11, pp. 1274-1283, Nov. 2013 (PMID 24097068).
Our priority list contains genes that do not have any interaction data in IMEx databases or in the EBI-GOA-nonIntAct dataset. The latter is curated to the GO (Gene Ontology) standard i.e. not to the deep curation level of IMEx rules.
