Our trials teams conduct studies across a range of disease areas, and have expertise in a range of trials types - from early to late phase trials, and from simple to complex interventions.

In addition, we have a particular focus on developing and delivering innovations in trial methodology, to speed up the process for testing new therapies.

Disease Areas

Our trials teams carry out studies in cancer, HIV, neuroscience and cognitive health, primary care, tuberculosis, and a range of other illnesses. We conduct and collaborate on trials that take place in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, and our studies have provided scientific evidence that has led to changes in treatment guidelines internationally. Through our research we aim to tackle some of the major healthcare problems affecting our world, and to improve local, national and global health.

Methodology

Clinical trials take a very long time, can cost millions of pounds, and often require large numbers of patients. ICTM conducts ground-breaking work into the design, conduct and analysis of trials, meta-analyses and observational studies, with the aim of developing new methods that will speed up, improve and enhance our or other people’s studies.
