Institute Director
Professor Mahesh (Max) Parmar is the Director of both the UCL Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit. He is a Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology. He was a founding member and an Associate Director of the National Cancer Research Network, an organisation which more than doubled the number of patients going into cancer studies in England. Max received the Order of British Empire Medal in 2019 and the Bradford Hill Medal in 2024.
