The primary focus is to minimise the impact of nervous system disorders by studying injury and repair, enhancing diagnosis, evaluating therapies, and improving long-term functional outcomes.

Genetics and Genomic Medicine
Our aims are to deliver better diagnostics through identification of novel disease-causing genes and accurate disease biomarkers for targeting of therapies.

Infection, Immunity and Inflammation
We aim to deliver world-class research for children with infectious, immunological, and inflammatory disease; life-threatening respiratory disease, chronic pain, and critical illness in intensive care

Population, Policy and Practice
Through our research, teaching and translational activities, we aim to improve the health of children and young people now and throughout their adult lives.
