Centre on US Politics

Founded in 2020, the Centre on US Politics (CUSP) at UCL is a leading hub in the UK for research and external engagement on issues related to US politics and policy.

The Conflict and Change group contributes to the scientific understanding of political violence. Pursuing systematic analyses of theoretically-informed and policy-relevant questions, the group conducts leading research on the causes, dynamics, and consequences of political conflicts. It organises a research seminar series, as well as talks and workshops enabling dialogue between academics, policy-makers, and practitioners. Members regularly contribute to public debate based on their research expertise.

The Constitution Unit

The Constitution Unit conducts timely, rigorous, independent research into constitutional change and the reform of political institutions. Our research has significant real-world impact, informing policy-makers engaged in such changes - both in the United Kingdom and around the world.

The Global Governance Institute

The UCL Global Governance Institute undertakes cross-disciplinary study of crucial governance ‘deficits’ in order to explore the nature of the problem, the processes, structures and institutions involved, and potential solutions.
