Sigrid has started her PhD at the UCL Department of Political Science in 2018. She holds an MSc in Security Studies from UCL and a BA in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, Germany. She also spent a term abroad studying at the University of Essex. Prior to joining UCL, she worked as short-term Administrative Assistant at the International Court of Justice.
Sigrid’s PhD project focuses on the local spread of conflict dynamics through internal displacement patterns. In general, she is interested in the study of civilian choices in the interaction with conflict parties as well as the analysis of war dynamics by means of quantitative methods. .
