Katie Gaddini is a Associate Professor in Sociology at the Social Research Institute and a research associate at the University of Johannesburg, Department of Sociology. In 2021-2022 she is a Religion, Spirituality, and Democratic Renewal Fellow of the Social Science Research Council. Her current research, funded by the British Academy/ Leverhulme Trust, investigates the race-religion-nationalism nexus in the United States and uses a multi-method qualitative approach to examine white evangelical political ideas and beliefs.
