Dr Lukasz Rachel appointed Academic Co-Director (Economics) at the UCL Policy Lab

Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics will help support in the continued development of innovative economic debate and ideas at the UCL Policy Lab.
The UCL Policy Lab is excited to announce that Dr Lukasz Rachel, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, has taken on the role of Academic Co-Director at the UCL Policy Lab.
Ahead of the announcement, Lukasz said
“I’m delighted to be taking on the role as the Co-Director (Economics) of the UCL Policy Lab. Now more than ever we face an urgent need for policy debate that is anchored in rigorous research and deep expertise. As a leading global economics department, UCL Department of Economics produces world class research on a wide range of issues crucial to making good policy.”
“The UCL Policy Lab is in a unique position to facilitate the flow of these ideas into the policy space, thus benefiting the researchers and policymakers, and contributing to better policies and outcomes. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to enable these valuable interactions and seeking to create new opportunities for productive collaborations.”
The Lab will work with Lukasz to help shape the debate on economic systems, growth, and policy across the UK. Marc Stears, Director of the UCL Policy Lab, said:
