The UK has become a low-growth case study for the global economy. Caught in a spiral of low pay, poor productivity and rising inequality – underpinned by sustained poor economic growth, this poor economic performance is having a direct impact on household budgets and the aspirations of young people.
Labour has placed securing sustained economic growth at the centre of its plans for government. But what economic tools can Labour use to sustain growth? And what challenges will they face?
Our expert panel of economists and analysts will provide answers and examine the root causes and consequences of poor economic growth. We can shed light on the pressing need for comprehensive and forward-thinking strategies to revitalise the UK's economic landscape and ask how Labour can steer it towards a brighter future consistent with planetary limits.
