Abirami Raveendran, Events and Communications Officer

As Events and Communications officer, Abirami plays a central role in designing and delivering the Lab’s diverse public and private events programme. Graduating in engineering, Abirami found her passion for social activism and politics in her final year of studies. Abirami joined UCL Policy Lab after working for a major public affairs organisation focused on politics, government, and public policy, valuing expert insight and engagement. She has worked to champion marginalised groups, bringing diverse perspectives on how we design effective policy solutions. Recently elected as the Equal Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) officer for the UCL Unite branch, Abirami is passionate about the Lab’s ability to open new ways of bridging the divide between experience and ideas.
