Magnetospheres

Planets with magnetic fields are surrounded by regions known as magnetospheres. CPS members study these, and charged particles trapped within them, using spacecraft instruments and computer models.

Exoplanets

Spectroscopy of exoplanet atmospheres, including data reduction, atmospheric modelling, novel retrieval techniques and space missions.

Interiors

Space missions have revealed our solar system displays a rich variety of bodies with a diverse evolutionary history.

Surfaces

Planetary surfaces record geological events which are a combination of internally and externally driven phenomena.
