On Friday 8 April 2016, the Royal Astronomical Society will be holding a Specialist Discussion Meeting on the theme of:
"The use of extraterrestrial resources to help facilitate space science and exploration"
Further details can be found at:
https://www.ras.org.uk/component/gem/?id=375
Note that, for consistency with the scientific interests of the RAS, the emphasis will be on how space resources may facilitate/accelerate scientific discovery (e.g. by enabling the construction of large space observatories, robotic missions to the outer Solar System or beyond, and lunar and planetary research stations) rather than a narrow focus on ISRU techniques.
This meeting is being co-organised by CPS member Prof. Ian Crawford.
