12 July 2013

Two members of the Department have been recognised by the MAPS Faculty for their outastanding contributions to teaching:

Professor Tony Harker Tony Harker received the MAPS Faculty Teaching Award for academic staff: "Tony's mathematica expertise is second to none and his package of undergraduate modules is rather unique in academia. The effort he has taken to develop interesting problems through which the students develop their skills is quite remarkable."
Mr Dominic Reeve Dominic Reeve was awarded the MAPS Faculty Postgraduate Teaching Assistant award for "great enthusiasm to his role as a teaching assistant, and he is a very popular teacher with students. He challenges students to explore and understand their subject and practical technique, but his accessible and engaging style ensures his teaching is leavened with a great sense of humour and fun."
