Research summary
I am interested in the philosophy of mind and metaphysics. My work to date has focused on self-consciousness and personal identity.
Teaching summary
I have taught undergraduate modules in metaphysics, epistemology, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of religion. At the graduate level I have convened seminars on personal identity, self-reference, and the metaphysics of material objects.

Biography
I took up my position as a permanent lecturer in the Dept of Philosophy at UCL in 2008. I received my D.Phil. in Philosophy from The University of Oxford in 2007. Prior to that I completed a B.Phil. in Philosophy and a BA in Physics & Philosophy, also at Oxford.
I am currently Departmental Graduate Tutor. Next year I will become Executive Director of the Aristotelian Society.
