Dr Luke Fenton-Glynn
Research Interests
My main research interests lie in the metaphysics of science. Most of my
work to date has been on causation, laws of nature, and probability
(especially objective chance), and the relationship between these three
things. I have also done work in formal epistemology, including the
topics of peer disagreement and imprecise credence.
Teaching
Currently I teach the first year modules Introduction to Logic I and Introduction to Logic II. These modules cover the syntax and semantics of propositional and predicate logic, informal proofs and counterexamples, truth tables, and the natural deduction formal proof system. I also teach the second year module Metaphysics, covering topics including time, identity, and causation, the advanced module Metaphysics of Science.
