S.V. Keeling Supplementary Lecture 2017

In 2017 a supplementary memorial lecture was given by Professor Dorothea Frede (Hamburg) and was entitled  'Aristotle on the Importance of Laws, Rules and Institutions'. 

Prof. Frede also ran a Graduate Masterclass attended by Graduate Students from UCL and KCL.

Prof Frede

Professor Dorothea Frede

Dorothea Frede is Professor Emeritus at the University of Hamburg and Honorary Professor at the Humboldt University at Berlin. Since 2006 she has been the Mills Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at UC Berkeley. 

Prof Frede has published widely on a number of topics within Ancient Philosophy, with a particular focus on Aristotle, Plato and Hellenistic philosophy. She has also published on the work of Martin Heidegger.
