On March 5th 2025, the School of Pharmacy held a poster session to showcase Women’s Health research in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event was organised by the SoP Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.

The poster session featured a diverse range of research from the School's four Research Departments, covering topics such as drug discovery, drug delivery, and pharmacoepidemiology. The event was attended by SoP staff, PhD researchers, and undergraduate students.

In addition to presentations of research, the SoP Library team also contributed to the event with their ‘Celebrating Women and Girls in Pharmacy’ display. This comprised materials from the library archive, including photos of notable female alumni and books authored by female staff members. Additionally, the session highlighted the work of the charity Wellbeing of Women, which is the only UK charity dedicated to improving women’s gynaecological and reproductive health.
