30 April 2025
Eleven strategically minded players participate in a host of never before seen games designed to test their intellect, while carefully and creatively using the art of manipulation to outfox their opponents and win a cash prize

Charlotte Yeung, a current second-year PhD student in the Basit Research Group at University College London, is set to participate in The Genius Game UK, a new reality competition series broadcast on ITV and hosted by BAFTA and Emmy award-winning actor David Tennant. Adapted from the acclaimed South Korean format, the programme features eleven strategically-minded contestants competing in a series of intellectually demanding challenges designed to test analytical reasoning, memory, attention to detail, and social intelligence. Each episode presents unique tasks that encourage alliances, deception, and strategic manipulation, with the ultimate aim of outsmarting opponents to secure a cash prize of up to £50,000. Tennant assumes the role of "The Creator", guiding participants through the complexities of the competition. Charlotte’s background in scientific research positions her strongly for the competition, where skills such as critical analysis, adaptability, and problem-solving are vital. The Genius Game UK premieres on Wednesday 30 April 2025 at 9:00 PM on ITV, and will continue every Wednesday and Thursday evening for four weeks.
