Athena Swan

Athena Swan Bronze Award

Professor Felicity Smith and her team led the successful Bronze Athena SWAN application for the UCL School of Pharmacy, valid until April 2018. The awards ceremony was held on 15 June 2015 at the University of Greenwich.

Next Steps: Athena Swan Silver Award

The aim of this project is to sustain structural and cultural changes that advance gender equality and other intersectional factors wherever possible, to combat the underrepresentation of women, and to advance their careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) research and academia.

The next step is to apply for the Silver award which aims to seal the commitment and action from all levels of the organisation, in order to promote equal career development and progression opportunities for all, for academic, professional and support staff at any stage in their career, and to protect a healthy work-life balance for all.
