Job description
The main purpose of this job is to support experimental and related teaching and learning sessions in the UPCSE Physics subject.
A Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) is required to assist during Physics laboratory sessions scheduled during UPC term times (Wednesdays, 14:00-17:30) and to support the invigilation of tests and exams. The PGTA is expected to arrange their annual leave outside the teaching sessions. The PGTA may also be asked to be involved more flexibly with assessment and testing and evaluating online resources.
The PGTA need not be an expert on the topic being taught but needs graduate-level knowledge of the subject and good practical laboratory experience in helping students with limited lab-based prior knowledge.
