Modules: SPAN0101 Introduction to Spanish and Latin American Studies 1; SPAN0102 Introduction to Spanish and Latin American Studies 2; CMII0092 Professional Skills for Translators; and CMII0098 Translation for Voiceover and Dubbing

Number of hours: Depends on the module(s) being taught

Duration: Up to 9 months

Job description

SELCS-CMII recruits a number of Post-Graduate Teaching Assistants (PGTAs) each year to supplement teaching across a range of programmes and to offer professional development opportunities to doctoral students.

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching assistance through the facilitation of seminars and/or workshops;
  • Class preparation and meeting with lecturers/module organisers;
  • After-class contact time with students, including time-tabled office hours;
  • Marking students' work;
  • Giving feedback to students

Requirements for role

At the start of the academic year 2025/26, applicants must be current doctoral research students registered in UCL or another UK university and must normally be in Year 2 or beyond of the programme (or part-time equivalent).
