Job description
The candidate is expected to support the students on software issues and help the students to install, setup, debug and run their computational materials modelling and/or machine learning tools. Furthermore, they are expected to provide advice and support for data pre- and post-processing and visualization, also contribute to the development, maintenance and updating of various online tutorials (e.g. see https://github.com/materials-discovery/linux_tutorials) as needed. The workload will be of about 6-10 hours/week, with events taking place at UCL East, Marshgate building or Pool Street.

Requirements for role
Educated to Master’s degree level (or having equivalent experience experience) in a Materials Science and Engineering related field, working towards a relevant postgraduate degree (PhD) with an interest in data driven materials discovery, materials modelling, and simulation. Also familiar with Linux operating systems, Python and/or machine learning frameworks. Good communication skills, ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities, working both independently and as part of a team.
