Greek and Latin are looking for PGTAs. Start date: 5th October 2026. Deadline to apply: 5:00pm, Friday 29th May 2026.

Number of hours: 20 teaching hours per term for Beginners and Intermediate, 10 teaching hours per term for Advanced

Start date: 5th October 2026
Duration: Up to 1 year

Grade: PGTA (Grade 6)
Location: London

Job description

PGTAs will work closely with module tutors and willprepare and deliver small-group teaching of Greek and/or Latin language.

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching assistance through the facilitation of seminars and/or workshops;
  • Class preparation and meeting with lecturers/module organisers;
  • After-class contact time with students, including time-tabled office hours;
  • Marking students' work;
  • Giving feedback to students

Requirements for role

  • MA degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
  • Working towards a PhD degree in relevant field (or having recently obtained such a degree)
  • Good knowledge of Greek and / or Latin language
  • Famliarity with Greek and / or Latin literature
