Job description
The purpose of this job is to support teaching and learning in SURG0002 and help the module lead deliver the module to students.
Main duties of the post include answering student questions by pointing out to the right resources in the Module (which is available usually from the 'Before you begin' section or from previous communications), redirecting any academic queries to the module lead and administrative queries to the module administrator.
Closer to the exams, the number of questions related to the exams may increase, and may be repetitive.

Key responsibilities
- Teaching assistance through the facilitation of seminars and/or workshops;
- After-class contact time with students, including time-tabled office hours
Requirements for role
The teaching assistant must have working knowledge of biostatistics, Microsoft Office including Excel, proficient with internet, and should be able to install R, R Studio, and have installation rights on their computer to allow software installation on their computers.
