Job description
The purpose of this job is to support teaching and learning on modules across the MA in Art Education, Culture and Practice. You will work with academic module leads to support the delivery of this dynamic and varied programme through small group teaching, studio practice tutorials, regular meetings with the course lecturer, provision of feedback to students, and some coursework assessment. Teaching Assistants will be given training in support of their roles.
This post is open to UCL students only, who currently reside in the UK.
In this post you will:
- Design and prepare teaching materials within the overall module framework
- Contribute to practice-based research elements through formative feedback and one to one tutorials
- Foster independent and peer-led research practices amongst students
- Support with marking duties on allocated modules
- Support module leads in weekly seminars, off site visits and organization of Moodle resources
Professional Development in Teaching
In this role, you will:
- Receive appropriate support in developing your teaching practice and mentoring and departmental guidance in relation to your seminar support role.
- Be required to attend an introductory, three-hour UCL Arena One Gateway Workshop.
- Be expected to complete the Teaching Associate Programme leading to Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Requirements for role
Educated to Masters degree level (or having equivalent experience), in a related field
