Job description
In this role you will support teaching and learning in the professional placement and academic modules of the Secondary Art and Design PGCE. The main duties of the post are to meet regularly with the Art and Design PGCE Subject Lead, to read and provide feedback to students on drafts of academic assignments and lesson plans, to provide support for students in developing planning skills, to mark coursework, to provide weekly office hours, and attendance reporting.
You will receive professional development in teaching support.
Please be aware that the role has a total allocation of 90 hours and a job share will be considered. If you are already working as a PGTA on another UCL or UCL IOE programme then we will not be able to appoint you to one of our positions. If appointed you will not be able to work as a PGTA on another programme.

Requirements for role
This post is open to UCL students with QTS and experience of mentoring student art and design teachers in school only. The department is inclusive and is working on increasing the diversity of its staff.
