The Centre for Languages and International Education (CLIE) are looking for a PGTA for UPCH Economics. Start date: 13th October 2025. Deadline to apply: 5pm, Thursday 25 September 2025.

Job description
A valuable opportunity for a postgraduate student with Economics in your first degree, learning to assess beginners in Economics and helping guide their annual essay.

Key responsibilities
- Marking students' work;
- Giving feedback to students;
- Meet the subject lecturer regularly to discuss the work;
- Guide students' written work at Easter.
Requirements for role
- Attend Arena One: Gateway workshop (two and a half hours; paid time)
- Apart from Economics qualifications listed in the Job Description (JD), the applicant must be keen on preparing learners for clear, technical expression. The marking reflects this.
- The applicant will be encouraged later to attend further Arena training. This will help a career in teaching.
