Job description
PGTAs support teaching and learning in our modules, working with the academic modules leads through the delivery of small group teaching for students taking modules in the department.
The main duties of the post normally consist of:
- Undergraduate modules - tutorial class teaching, regular meetings with the module lead, provision of feedback to students, provision of weekly office hours, attendance reporting, assessment marking.
- Postgraduate modules - supporting modules leads in tutorial classes, regular meetings with the module lead, assessment marking.

Key responsibilities
- Teaching assistance through the facilitation of seminars and/or workshops;
- Class preparation and meeting with lecturers/module organisers;
- After-class contact time with students, including time-tabled office hours;
- Marking students' work;
- Giving feedback to students
Requirements for role
PGTAs must be educated to Masters degree level (or having equivalent experience), in an Anthropology related field, and be working towards a relevant postgraduate research degree (PhD).
