Job description
The Academic Communication Centre - Arts, Humanities, Social & Historical Sciences is a free service supporting students with academic writing, critical thinking and research skills. The post-holder will provide assistance in the form of one-to-one tutorial sessions to undergraduate and Masters students seeking support with their academic writing skills, and later potentially also assist with or teach writing workshops. Our activities will be mainly online.

Requirements for role
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Enrolled in a UCL PhD programme (or part-time equivalent) in one or more of the areas of study taught by the faculties of Arts & Humanities and/or Social & Historical Sciences.
- Teaching experience in an area of study relevant to Arts and Humanities, Social & Historical Sciences
- Articulate and effective academic writing skills.
- Good communication skills, especially in one-to-one meetings with students.
- Student-focussed, with a helpful, supportive attitude, along with an understanding of the challenges students face.
- Punctuality and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Proven ability to use online learning technologies such as Moodle, Zoom.
