Who we are

The ICL Research Centre is a facility providing an administrative and research base for the wealth of child development research at Chandler House. It is run by a group of researchers based in UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, who are interested in language, reading, and hearing. We run research studies with children, including both typically developing children and children with hearing, language, and other developmental difficulties. Our studies contribute to a better understanding of children’s development. Often, the aim is to improve care for children who experience developmental difficulties.

Our members come from the research departments of Language and Cognition, Speech, Hearing and Phonetic Sciences and Linguistics. We are a collaborative group of people and would welcome contact from anyone interested in becoming affiliated with the centre.
