My research investigates how latent cognitive processes contribute to observable behaviours. Most of my research falls within the area of human learning and memory (e.g., implicit learning, testing effects, recognition and source memory). I approach these topics with a combination of behavioural experiments and statistical models (e.g., signal-detection theory, multinomial processing-tree models, Bayesian hierarchical models). From February 2018 to October 2020, I was a postdoc in the ESRC-funded project “Measuring awareness in implicit cognition research: Developing research methods for the next decade” (PI: David R. Shanks). Since November 2020, I am a honorary research associate.
