Is science broken? was a huge success
On Tuesday, 17 March Prof Chris Chambers gave a fantastic talk about some of the problems we face in science how registered reports, now available through some journals, help to address these issues. This was followed by a panel debate that include Prof Chris Chambers (@chrisdc77), Prof. Dorothy Bishop (@deevybee), Prof. Sophie Scott (@sophiescott), Neuroskeptic (@Neuro_Skeptic), and the Dr. Sam Schwarzkopf (@sampendu ) and was chaired by Prof. David Shanks. An audience of approximately 100 people were present for the talk and debate, joining in with both live questions and, from those who couldn’t be there, via Twitter.
Here are a few photos from the event as well as a link to the Twitter storyboard. There are also two excellent blog posts about the day: Aidan’s Aviary and The Psychologist.
