A two day refresher course

This is a refresher course for qualified BSL teachers who would like to have the opportunity for additional training. These two days will be the first in a series of CPD events for qualified BSL teachers.

Topics covered:

Language teaching and learning
Planning for learning strategies
Teaching materials
BSL research update
Classroom management

This course will be taught in BSL by two of our team of experienced trainers, which includes Tessa Padden, Clark Denmark, Robert Adam and Frances Elton.

Notes:

· This course is suitable for those with a BSL teaching qualification (eg PGCE or a City and Guilds certificate), or a teaching degree.

· Level 3 in British Sign Language or native signing skills are a prerequisite for this course. This course will be taught in BSL (British Sign Language). There will be no BSL-English interpreting available.
